Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the CalPaper application (“the App”), operated by Balázs Huszár (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By installing or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

CalPaper is a desktop application that connects to user-provided calendar services and displays calendar events visually as background images.

2. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the data in your calendars.
  • You must ensure you have the right to use any connected calendar accounts.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and accounts.

3. Accounts and Connections

The App allows connection to third-party calendar providers (such as Google, Microsoft, Apple, and ICS sources).

We are not responsible for the availability, security, or behavior of these external services.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

CalPaper offers optional premium features through subscriptions managed by the Microsoft Store.

  • Payments are processed by Microsoft.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Microsoft account.

We do not handle or store payment information.

5. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or commercial use.

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Modify or redistribute the App without permission
  • Use the App for unlawful purposes

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy: https://calpaper.eu/

7. Availability

We do not guarantee that the App will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

  • Data loss
  • Service interruptions
  • Issues caused by third-party services
  • Any indirect or consequential damages

9. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it.

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify the App at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, with consideration of applicable consumer protection laws.
